Novell
local-area network
NetWare

The world's largest network software company. Its flagship product, Netware, has been a corporate standard for building local-area networks (LANs) for more than a decade.

Like all software companies, Novell has been scrambling to respond to the sudden emergence of the Internet and intranets. Recently, they joined with Netscape to form a new company called Novonyx that will integrate Netscape's intranet products with Novell's networking software.

Novell was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Utah.
